Cookie Policy and Preferences

On our website we use small files called cookies to make your browsing experience better. In particular, cookies help us to make the site easier, faster and more interactive for you. This policy explains what cookies we use and how you can enable or disable them.

This policy forms an integral part of the general privacy policy, which can be found in the "Privacy Policy" section of our website, which we encourage you to read.

Who is the Data Controller?

The data controller (i.e., the entity that determines the purposes and methods of use of personal data) is Antonio Marras S.r.l., a company that is part of Oniverse, with registered office in Alghero (SS), Località Salondra n. 64, which can be contacted at data.protection@calzedonia.com.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that the website writes to your device. These text files help the site to remember, for example, your preferred language, your login credentials or the items you have placed in your shopping cart. Thanks to cookies, we can then collect information about your browsing and use it to make your online experience more personalised or simply easier.

Read on to find out which cookies we use, in detail, and how you can disable some of them, if you wish.

What cookies do we use? How to deactivate or activate them?

We use two types of cookies for our website: 'technical' cookies and 'profiling' cookies.

1. Technical cookies:

What are they? These cookies make our website easy to use, helping you to navigate and use our online services easily.

Why do we use them? Without these cookies some parts of the website would not be accessible or would be difficult to use. For this reason we do not require your consent to use them, they cannot be disabled and we install them based on our legitimate interest in ensuring that our website works properly.

What types of technical cookies exist? Technical cookies include: a) functionality cookies, which are used to make it easier for you to navigate around the site (e.g. by keeping track of your preferred language); b) analytical cookies, which allow us to collect statistical information in an anonymous form about, for example, the number of visitors and how they use the site. Where such information is not collected in aggregate form and it is therefore possible to identify you (through your IP address), these cookies qualify as "profiling cookies", which are only active with your consent.

2. Profiling cookies:

What are they? These cookies store information about your browsing habits, such as the pages you visit or the items you put in your shopping cart.

Why do we use them? We use this information to show you personalised content and targeted advertising, only after you expressly consent to their use.

What types of profiling cookies are there? They can be proprietary (or first party) and therefore managed directly by us or owned by our business partners (third party).

How to enable or disable them? You can enable or disable profiling cookies (by giving or revoking your consent) at any time, using our configurator or by changing the settings of the browser you are using to visit our site.

What is the duration of cookies?

Based on the duration of cookies, it is possible to distinguish between:

1. Temporary (or session) cookies:

What are they and how long do they last? These cookies store data only for as long as you are browsing the site. They are useful for keeping track of your actions but are not retained after you close the page.

2. Persistent cookies:

What are they and how long do they last? These cookies store data even after you have closed the browser. They are useful, for example, because they can remember your login password so that you don't have to type it in each time. You can find out how long cookies last by consulting the tables in the section 'List of Used Cookies'.

To whom do we disclose your data? Do we transfer them outside the european union?

The information collected through cookies is communicated to

  • Antonio Marras S.r.l. and Calzedonia S.p.A. personnel in charge of managing and monitoring the Websites;
  • suppliers and consultants, subject to stipulation of a contract of appointment as data controller or a contract of co-ownership.

The data collected may also be transferred outside the European Union. In this case, the transfer will take place subject to the adoption of appropriate safeguards or to countries adopting a level of data protection similar to the European one (and therefore recipients of "adequacy decisions") or subject to the conclusion of "Standard Contractual Clauses" adopted by the European Commission with Decision 2021/914.

What are your rights?

You can exercise your rights under the law regarding your personal data by writing to data.protection@calzedonia.com. We will endeavour to respond to your request as soon as possible and in any case no later than 30 days after receiving it. In certain cases, we may ask you for additional data if, in connection with your request, it is necessary to verify your identity.

Right of access

You have the right to know whether any personal data concerning you is being processed and - if confirmed - to obtain a copy of that data and to be informed about: the source of the data; the categories of personal data processed; the recipients of the data; the purposes of the processing; the existence of an automated decision-making process, including profiling; the data retention period; your rights under the Regulation.

Right of rectification

You have the right to have the data in our possession concerning you rectified or to add data that is incomplete.

We remind you that when you communicate your data to us in order to use our services, you guarantee its truthfulness and accuracy. Help us to ensure that your data is always accurate by notifying us of any updates at data.protection@calzedonia.com.

Right of deletion

You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data if it is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or if we are no longer authorised to process it.

Right to limitation of processing

  1. You have the right to obtain restriction of processing in the following cases:
  2. You have contested the accuracy of your personal data. You can request the restriction of processing for the period during which we will verify the accuracy of your data;
  3. We are not authorised to process your data and, instead of deleting it, you can ask us to restrict its use;
  4. If the data in our possession - even though they are no longer necessary for us for the purposes of the processing for which they were collected - are necessary for you to establish, exercise or defend a right in court
  5. You object to processing based on a legitimate interest of ours. Pending verification of whether our legitimate interests prevail over those of you as the data subject, you may ask us to restrict processing.

Right to withdraw consent

You may revoke your consent in relation to all processing based on it by accessing the [cookie configurator].

Right to data portability

If we process your data on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract, or if the processing is carried out by automated means, you may exercise your right to data portability. You may then receive the personal data you have communicated to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. You may also request to transmit your data directly to another company, provided that this is technically possible.

Right to object

You have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data based on our legitimate interest, including profiling.

We also inform you that, if you consider that personal data concerning you are being processed in breach of the provisions of EU Regulation 2016/679, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent Data Protection Supervisory Authority

We reserve the right to update the content of this page from time to time. We therefore invite you to consult this policy regularly in order to keep up to date with any changes that have occurred since your last consultation.
